Lindsay Nahmiache (2005) - Submitted on 27 March 2008
Major : Communications

Lindsay writes, "Since leaving Richmond I worked for Contiloe Film in Mumbai India as a Producer and now currently live in Vancouver, BC working in film Marketing & Publicity." Lindsay brings both International and National Film experience to the table, from producing in “Bollywood” to most recently Marketing and Publicity in “Hollywood North.”

Lindsay currently lives in Vancouver BC, where she is the Director of Marketing & Publicity for Festival Cinemas. Part of her responsibilities include the organization and execution of Festival Cinemas French Film Festival. The festival did extremely well in Vancouver, resulting in some of the films having achieved the highest opening box office sales in all of Canada, outgrossing even the French Canadian box office. Other responsibilities include design and creation of promotional material, press releases, press screenings, ground coordination, events (Director Talks, Cultural Screenings etc), and more.

In addition to her responsibilities with Festival Cinemas, Lindsay also works on independent contracts promoting Western Canadian Film releases for some of the major Canadian film distributors: Alliance Films, Christal Films, Digi-Screen and others. She is responsible for everything from local media relations and promotional tie-ups, to the organization and execution of film related events. In addition to general film releases she also has strong Festival experience, from MIP Film & TV Market in Cannes, France to most recently working with Alliance Films at the 2008 Toronto and Vancouver International Film Festivals.

Internationally, Lindsay spent five years living and working in London, England and Mumbai, India. In London she interned with E! Entertainment Television (Europe, Middle East and Africa), where she assisted in their Marketing and Sales/Distribution department. After this she moved to Mumbai, India where she was recruited by one of the top production houses in the country to produce content for their film and television market (a.k.a. “Bollywood”).

Lindsay was recently invited to The Rotterdam International Film Festival, Netherlands to speak about the future of Marketing & Distribution in a Digital Age.
