Our Mission

The role of Student Affairs in fulfilling the University's mission is to advocate for students to ensure that they are the main focus in all decisions and actions central to the overall development of the student learning experience. We aim to accomplish this in partnership with Academic Affairs by offering programs and services which positively impact learning as well as the total student life experience. Our goal is to help develop leadership skills that will enable students to excel in a global environment and to foster appreciation, sensitivity and respect for ethnic diversity and tolerance for cultural and individual differences.

Hi, I'm Stephen, Residence Life Coordinator at Richmond.

I grew up on the south coast of Britain in an old Roman city called Chichester (it’s a great place to visit for a day trip). I have a BA in Political Science from the University of Surrey and am keenly interested in history and sociology.

Ensuring students have the best possible experience at University has been my focus since I started working in the higher education sector. Your time at University will be fun, challenging, happy, sometimes sad and hopefully rewarding. Remember, make the most of the Student Affairs Staff; we’re here to support you!

In my downtime I like to cycle (particularly around Richmond Park, it’s so nice), read my Kindle (usually crime novels) and of course enjoy travelling around the world.

Please feel free to come and see me in my office at any time. You can find me in the library building.

Hi! I am originally from Tupelo, Mississippi, but have been living in London since January of 2008, and am now very proud to call the city my home! I am excited to welcome students and introduce them to all that London has to offer. I look forward to supporting them throughout their study abroad experience and / or university experience at Richmond, sharing London's historic and culturally rich atmosphere over the course of the semester.

During university and graduate school, I studied abroad in Madrid and El Puerto de Santa Maria in Spain, at St John's College in Oxford, England, and also in London. I have my Master of Arts degree in Higher Education / Student Personnel from the University of Mississippi, and have over three and a half years experience working intensively with American students studying abroad in London. I look forward to bringing my experience and passion to my work with Richmond students.
