Kensington Residences

Atlantic House

Atlantic House is the main residence in Kensington and provides accommodation for 114 students, in 17 single rooms, 47 double rooms and 1 triple. Most of the rooms have sinks. Single rooms are commonly allocated to Resident Assistants, MA students and graduating seniors.

The facilities in Atlantic House include 24-hour Security/Reception, Kensington Campus Library, Computer Lab with 51 computers, Dining Hall, Mailroom, and Common Room with cable TV and multi-regional DVD player. As with the Richmond Campus DVDs and videos are available free of charge from the library. The Common Room also has a free pool table. The building is covered by the wireless internet link. There are free laundrette facilities in the basement.

Ambassador House

Ambassador House is a five-minute walk from Atlantic House across Gloucester Road. The house provides accommodation for 70 students, 11 singles, 10 doubles, 9 triples and 3 quads.

Ambassador is full of character, all the rooms are of different shapes and sizes. Single rooms are allocated to Resident Assistants and graduating seniors. Ambassador House also has its own common room, with a TV and multi-regional DVD player. There are free laundrette facilities in the basement.

Collingham gardens is a beautiful building located just a 15 minute walk from Atlantic House, Asa Briggs and Young Street. It offers upper division students independance and the chance to live in one of the most wealthy areas of London. Collingham Gardens is situated very close to Earl's Court tube station and the ammenities of Earl's Court Road. The building itself is comprised of 4 floors of 'flats', students on each floor share a bathroom and a kitchen. Students are housed in spacious double rooms (there are no single rooms).

There is also a large common space in the basement with a television, multi-regional DVD player and sofas, for socializing and relaxing. Collingham's residents can cook for themselves in the shared kitchens, or choose to be on the meal plan on a pay-as-you-go type of scheme, or a combination of both. There are no on-site laundry facilities, but students are welcome to bring their laundry to Atlantic House, or use a laundrette on Earl's Court Road. Wireless internet is available to all residents of Collingham Gardens.

Upper-division students are offered an excellent option with our other satellite building called Courtfield Gardens! Just around the corner from Collingham Gardens, this building is also located 5 minutes walk away from Earl's Court tube station and Earl's Court Road ammenities. This building can house around 87 students in a variety of sized rooms, including doubles and singles. Each room is en-suite with a kitchen.

Residents are also able to cook for themselves or still eat at Atlantic House cafeteria using the pay-as-you-go catering scheme. There is a common area on the ground floor equipped with a television, and token operated laundry system on site.
