SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES

STUDIO CAMBRIDGE
is looking for residential staff to help with their summer program at Richmond Hill!

Studio Cambridge has been running English Language and Activity Programmes for more than 40 years. In summer 2010, as in 2009, we will be running a course for 14-17 year-olds from around the world at Richmond the American International University in London, and at other centres in the UK. We are looking for residential staff to assist in the running of these courses.

Positions: Residential Activity Organiser; Assistant Course Director

Number of vacancies: 16

Start date: Between 21 June and 19 July 2010

Duration: Between 2 and 7 weeks

Location: Richmond the American International University in London

Salary: Residential Activity Organisers - £230 plus 8.3% holiday pay per week plus full board
Assistant Course Directors – depends on position: £300 –£400 plus 8.3% holiday pay per week plus full board

Job Descriptions

All positions are temporary for summer 2010, working with overseas students:

• Residential Activity Organiser - supervising students residences and in sporting, arts and crafts and cultural activities and on excursions

• Assistant Course Director - managing staff and overseeing the smooth running of the centre

Person requirements

• Residential Activity Organiser: experience of working with the age group is preferred but not essential, interest in sports, arts and crafts and/or cultural activities, knowledge of area local to the centre is preferable but not essential, first aid and / or sporting certificates an advantage.

• Assistant Course Director: Ability to work under pressure is essential, excellent organisational skills are essential, good communication skills are essential, PC skills are essential, experience of managing or organising educational centres is preferable but not essential
