Professor Robert Leppard

Born and educated in the United Kingdom, Robert studied for a degree in engineering in London and subsequently for a degree in Finance in South Africa. This developed an extensive international career as an executive in the oil and mining industries, a career which spanned twenty five years in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
In 1985 having returned to Europe and living in France, Robert combined international consulting with teaching on an international MBA program in Montpellier.

A progressive career in education followed, this focussed on all aspects of international business, particularly the development of the next generation of international business leaders. These ideals fitted especially well with the mission of Richmond and in 1993 Robert joined Richmond as a Visiting Fellow on the MBA program.

After taking up a fulltime position with Richmond as Chair of the Department of Business and Economics, his focus has evolved through development of the Richmond International Internship program and the business degrees offered by Richmond.

Robert continues to consult and assist with training in industry and serves on several executive boards.
