MA Art History Students on Pagan Site visit in England
On Monday 10th March Dr. Robert Wallis, Director of the , MA in Art History led a MA field trip to the pagan 'sacred sites' of the Avebury complex in Wiltshire and to the Uffington Castle, White Horse Hill, Waylands Smithy complex in Oxfordshire.
An international authority on the archaeology of these sites, Dr. Wallis' Antiquaries & Archaists (published in 2009 and co-edited with Richmond alumna & Sotheby's Institute Academic Director Dr. Megan Aldritch), explores the contemporary politics of Britain's ancient landscape.
